RACING FOR FUN

CWA WHIPPET RACING GROUP IN BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

Racing For Fun

Racing for Fun is a Whippet straight racing group formed in 2002 under the auspices of the Continental Whippet Alliance.  We race primarily in the Abbotsford, BC area, generally holding five weekends (ten meets) of racing a year.  Most of our owners are strong supportors of dual-purpose Whippets and, in addition to racing, exhibit their dogs in conformation, as well as participate in other activites such as lure coursing, obedience, rally, agility, et cetera.

As we are also known for the wonderful potluck lunches at our meets, the standing joke is our club's initials (RFF) actually stand for "racing for food."

We endeavour to have practices as time and weather allows, particularly prior to race meets.  In addition, we do offer a number of practice runs between programs at our meets to help bring along new dogs to racing form.
